Stronger Together

I started this blog to give something back to the industry that brought me so much joy, knowledge–and sometimes pain–throughout the five years that I owned a bar. I absolutely adore the community and the craft that all of you bring to the world.

I am not a great chef or a highly skilled flair bartender. Instead, what I offer is my writing and my thoughts. I am using this skill to craft a place where we can all gather to laugh and learn through the experiences of others.

I want to strengthen our community more. I want everyone to know that their Industry Fam really has their back. We find ourselves in a time of uncertainty and instability. Nobody knows when this merry-go-round from hell will stop, or what the world will look like when it does. Tens of thousands of us woke up one day and found out we would not be going to work again until May.

It can be depressing and scary, or it can be an opportunity.

I have chosen to make this an opportunity, which is why I’m proud to announce that all of the ad revenue from this website will be donated to where-ever it needs to go. For all time.

This is an easy and painless way (and hopefully entertaining) way to help your fellow industry workers without needing to do anything other than reading and sharing these articles. No matter if the money goes to the bartenders guild or to the newly established Restaurant Association Relief Fund during the immediate crisis, or to a small town after a tornado down the road, every cent of it will be going where it’s needed. Further, I’ll share with all of you how much the page made in ad revenue every month. A few hundred a month would be amazing. A few thousand would be mind-blowing.

I hope this site continues to provide value and entertainment to all of you, and I hope that we all remember that we are not alone. There is always someone there to help, and our experiences in the hospitality industry bind us together more than anyone on the outside can possibly know.
